The Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office is a new-generation communication solution designed for small and medium sized businesses. With its “all-in-one” design, Alcatel-Lucent's solution delivers a full array of communication services – including voice, internet access and data services – integrated in a single system.

With the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office your company can avoid costly voice calls between various sites around the world by sending voice over your existing worldwide data connections. You can benefit from new Service Provider offerings using public IP Trunking. You can simplify your on-site cabling infrastructure by connecting telephones to the same cable as PC’s. And you can deliver a consistent level of voice features whatever the location of the user – headquarters, branch offices, home workers or mobile workers – by incorporating a voice server on your data network
It is suited to enterprises with 6 to 236 users, with a sweet spot around 80 users. It is based on a scaleable platform that can evolve to provide a converged solution for voice and data. The IP centric call server supports both VoIP and IP Telephony natively. Additionally, digital, analogue, DECT, IP telephones and IP softphones can be supported simultaneously.
The optional call centre function supports up to 8 ACD groups 32 agents and 4 supervisors. A statistics package may be added to aid with resource allocation and traffic post-processing.
Voice mail is an essential tool for business today. Each system is delivered with an embedded voice mail application that is available to every user, whatever the handset. An optional automated attendant can automatically connect callers to the right person at peak hours and broadcast information to customers such as opening hours.
The personal assistant can provide the caller 5 ways to reach you when you’re away from your desk: voice mail, mobile, external number, internal number (secretary) or operator.
An integrated CTI server enabling you to access a customer database from your PC or link up to third party applications specifically related to your business.
The Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCXOffice converged voice and data version is ideal for companies that do not have an internal IT department. The “all-in-one” communication server acts as your telephone system, e-mail server, LAN, Internet access and firewall.
